This was a pirate ship concept for "Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens" that my art director (Yanick Dusseault) and I worked on. We thought it would be cool to come up with a star wars/pirate version of a dirty diesel pickup truck!

These are the thumbnails that led up to the final design for Sandrakk's ship design in EA's "Immortals of Aveum". Such a fun project coming up with fantasy tech. As a concept artist this was a dream to world build in a genre that hasn't been seen before! I looked at allot of art nouveau designs from the late 1800's to help inform this.

I don't usually show my concept models which I then paint over, but had a great time developing this! As a concept artist/designer I love to see artists thought process in how they landed on a design so I figured I'd share this.

Initially the idea was to come up with a fighter pilot type cockpit in our design language for Sandrakk's ship. It eventually got stripped down due to camera constraints. This is a quick screenshot of my concept model. This design stopped here, but I had a ton of fun with it!

This was one of my favorite tasks on EA’s "Immortals of Aveum"! It was Sandrakk’s (the main villains) ship. I was heavily inspired by Art Nouveau designs. Specifically Art Nouveau vases. Allot of them had these amazing sculptural metal housings that held the glass itself.

This was a fun milestone for me as it was my first vehicle design in a film! This was originally shot for live action in a Toyota Prius for "J.J. Abrams Star Trek: Into Darkness". That meant the A, and B pillar had to remain the same as it was in previous shots but I had creative freedom outside of that. This was all done in photoshop off of a plate I was given for a very quick turn around. The video is captured from film showcasing the final shot.

This is a future retro vehicle design for a VR experience. On this I did a more detailed concept of the floating chassis, as we see it fly over head and it needed to be spelled out. It was a quicker design as it's more of a background vehicle and not a hero vehicle. This is from an illustration which I pulled out to establish a clearer design for the modelers.

Personal ship design for fun. Trying to find shapes in unexpected things like kites and insects.

This interior was for a background vehicle in a VR experience. I thought it would be unexpected if the chair was suspended from the side and free floating from beneath. This was tons of fun as I love automotive design but don't get this opportunity very often.
